Aisata Blackman is a Dutch singer and musical theatre performer
Aisata rose to fame after her fan-favorite performances in Season Two of The Voice of Germany.
A powerhouse vocalist known widely for her electric stage presence, Aisata’s penchant for performance revealed itself slowly. Born in Amsterdam Southeast, Netherlands to a mother from the Dutch Caribbean and a father from Suriname, she spent her formative years surrounded by diverse cultures, eclectic music, and colorful Caribbean dance.
Since her time on The Voice, Aisata’s career has snowballed. In the midst of rapidly increasing solo and group performance gigs, she captured the attention of casting directors and landed back-to-back lead roles in the German runs of several musicals.
Aisata’s rich, textured sound, from her smoky lower register, to her bright, soulful belts, up to her floating high riffs, make her the perfect fit for complex, pop-centric scores.
